  1. I need to plant swiss chard in a container…so it will have to be a longer rectangular planter, which these bags aren't available in. I wanted to plant it in plastic planters used for flowers but read online that the plastic could be bad to plant vegetables in due to perhaps the plastic leaching toxin into the soil…is that true or would it be safe ?

  2. It seems these bags do somewhat stunt the growth of plants as compared to the ground itself. I transplanted some squash which I started from seed and thought I would try 20 gallon bags. I also gave a few of my transplants to my neighbor, and his (in the ground) have exploded. Mine, in 20 gallon bags are growing but way behind his.

  3. My own dear brother lives in San Diego. I miss him. I love that you love grow bags too. I'm growing in grow bags in an apartment and literally everything I'm growing in grow bags are doing better in the grow bags than they have in the containers. I have seen that in the grow bags too. I've even used a woven basket and planted beets. They came up fast. Woven baskets use to be used in ancient times because you could move them around and I live in town. In an apartment. I am inspiring I guess because I have a neighbor who says she loves our garden. I like Doller Tree having at least at the beginning of the season they offered 10 lb grow bags. You can roll down the sides.

  4. this is brilliant! I just (finally) moved to a new apartment that has a huge balcony with direct sunlight. I went to home depot and spent some cash in supplies after binge-watching your channel 😀

  5. I grew up on farm in Ireland, but didn't have to water our vegetables or flowers because it rained alot. I live in San Diego and have been gardening for a long time. I'm very innterested in grow bags.

  6. I currently have three 1 gallon/hour drip emitters for the single plant in each 10 gallon bag. However the soil in the grow bags is only wet right under the drip irrigation heads but is bone dry everywhere else. How many drip irrigation emitters would you recommend per 10 gallon bag?
