Yeah, they grow so fast, make me so happy at first, but some how i ended up make the sprout go dying, still can't find out is it the water or the soil
Green onions are so fun/forgiving: we had grocery store green onions in water on window sill this spring. they were looking rough, so I stuffed them in teh dirt at base of back steps. Then this fall I harvested… and many are back in water on window sill… and might make it back to soil in spring LOL
I tried to plant green onions by cutting onion root but whenever it starts to grow up to 3cm it dries out I don't know what went wrong.
Oh man! I thought we'd finally get to see your regrowth onions you started last March! Are you going to be showing your updates soon? You were going to be doing your part 3 update in the summer. We've already had a couple frosts and snow…not good when you're still waiting for updates lol.
Love and learn so much from this channel. Thank you.
Do you have any recommendations for buying seeds online?
Hey…how come everyone gets a reply but me?! No updates yet?
So, green opinions, bunching onions and scallions are all the same?? Are they all just immature or young onions? From any onions even could do red? A guy on another video said they, bunching onions, could be perennials. So,as you said, cut from the tops and leave the roots intact and they will just continue to grow? Thank you!
What does trim the pot mean
That's awesome thank you
Thank you,
I just have soil, no sand .
Can I still seed it
Hi! I just started a week ago. They’re long and very thin, can I go ahead and trim them? Or leave them? They’re also in a small starter pot. Should I change that to bigger pot? Thank so much! I love your videos !
Why do you thin them and how?
adding a comment for great content… I am trying to watch every video you have man. I watch hundreds of hours of gardening videos and you by far are my fav. My goal is to get a like on every one of your vids and comment a long the way. I even get you a few commercial watches to try and help, its the least I can do! Thanks man!
Crap video
Is the taste profile similar to chives ?
LEGEND
I don't make my own soil. But I would love for you to suggest a store-bought soil that will be good for this scenario. (I will still add the 10% sand) THANK YOOOUU
Is that S for Seattle Mariners?
I just bought a small plant at Walmart and it already has the stems growing not fully grown yet, should I just leave them in the pot,or transfer to a bigger plot?? Also don't want to plant them outdoors rather plant inside… Please get back to me .. I loved your video..
I have been growing mine from seeds, watering them i think the right amount and getting enough light, but they have sections drying and dying. Is it normal? Should i trim the seedling? Would it help them get stronger? I cant seem to grow real big scallions. Please help!
Hi, thanks for this video. I have been growing Spring onions indoors in the UK since over winter time. They are all about the same size as in your video around 4:57mins. However, they seem to be stuck at this stage for some time, they grow longer but are very thin and the stalks are drooping. The leaves are still green. Is there any way to fix this? I used regular herb compost and vermiculite mixture as the soil and water it infrequently, it seems to get decent sunlight as on windowsill. There are about 17 sprouts from seedlings now all within the a 5 inch pot. Any tips would be helpful on how to make sure they grow more/straighter? Should I just trim all the tips about 1 to 2 inches and wait more? Thanks in advance!
I'm growing some on my windowsill from grocery store cuttings right now. If I trim the side stalks like that will I eventually have to pull them out and start from the white root again or will it just go indefinitely?
So helpful ! Thank you!!
Didn’t know we could harvest green onion leaves continuously from same plants. Perfect timing, I’m sowing mine indoors tomorrow. Thank you for the great tips and tricks.
