  1. I always laugh that my hair is now getting silver and gold. And that’s what I appreciates about myself. Those silver hairs are hard earned!

And you’re right. I’ve felt a pang recently that my teens haven’t really gotten the education they needed. Granted, we started all this late… this year I asked my last two if they would garden with me this year. Normally it is my quiet time. But I said to them, if something happened to me, I would regret not teaching them this. I don’t care what direction they go later in this life…just learn this with me. So they know.

  2. I love your positivity and humor! When my daughter is willing we let her help with whatever. Mop the floor, dusting, putting clothes in the washer/dryer, folding clothes, cleaning the barn. You name it. She is coming 4 and it's my goal to show her as much as I can. To be honest I'm teaching myself too.

  3. Just found your channel and love this video…gardening, preserving, cooking, etc, was a way of life for me growing up thanks to my Nana and Mom. I still have the little black Singer that Nana taught me to sew on, and my home ec. teacher recruited me to help her teach the other students in high school. My own kids are really starting to appreciate the life skills my husband and I are teaching them (he pitches in with everything – he was raised right!), and it's like a right of passage in our house to turn 10 yrs old and be responsible for doing their own laundry, lol. We're expanding from just gardens into animals on our 1 acre this year, so we'll all be learning chickens together. P.S. "a lot of coffee and Jesus" sounds like a great t-shirt… 🙂
