I always prune all the suckers off. The trees do great. Might be the time of year that you're pruning them.

Use them for smoking meats. Apple and other fruit wood is favored among many woods used for smoking.

I'm with the rest of the crew on this. If you can get your hands on a woodchipper, chip up the tree limbs. Store them in a 5 gallon bucket (after they dry out first of course). I think I would keep them separated by fruit tree. I think it's awesome that your family helps out with all you do. I just bought 10 fruit trees (apple, pear, peach, and plum.) After seeing how much you harvest off yours, I should be able to share with my large family (I have 4 sisters, no brothers-Daddy used to say God was paying him back for chasing women when he was younger. LOL)
Yes! Save that wood for a bbq. Fruit tree wood adds great flavour
