  1. Try pushing the ears of corn thru the center of a Angel food/pound cake pan. Pan holds the cut corn as the ear drops into a sink. Pretty efficient from a video I watched.

  2. Please get one of those long reusable shopping bags on wheels. I got exhausted just thinking of all the walking you had to do because of the corn.

  3. I think I comment every time I see you use cucumbers, but you should definitely try Asian smashed cucumbers. Garlic, ginger, soy, chili, sesame oil and seeds, vinegar, salt & sugar. It's my favourite way to use them

  4. Just wanted to say that i have been loving all of your recent videos. All of them are super entertaining and interesting to watch. Thank you for uploading although you guys have been busy a lot with your life. Sending greetings from Sweden❤

  5. We used to have many dairy farms and farms that would sell corn and have pick your own strawberries and blueberries. We have lost all of the farms to construction. I miss stopping at their stands to buy their products. We had a big farmer's market which also closed. The farmers would come from all parts of Pa and Jersey with big trucks filled with produce. They would sell all of their produce at bargain rates so they didn't have to load them back on their trucks. We always went there late Saturday night and always got the bargains. We stopped to get corn one time and they were getting ready to break down their display. He said you can take the rest of the corn for a $1.00 per crate. I thought he was kidding. He said I have fields full at home and don't want these to spoil. We took home his last 10 crates for $10.00. We used to get big baskets of Jersey tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, squash, peaches for $3.00 and all kinds of melons for 2 for a dollar and watermelons for a $1.00 We had a large family and my mother used to tell us to get 50 lb bags of potatoes. We would take a wagon to haul the stuff to our cars. Someone would be the designated person to wait with everything until we could pull the car up to load everything because the wagon was too full. Everyone loves Jersey tomatoes. We eat them sliced with a little salt with bread and sometimes we put cheese in our tomato sandwiches. Those were the best summer nights and the next day we were outside husking corn and cutting up the melons so the mess was outside. I used to peel big pots of potatoes for Sunday dinners, no wonder we used 50 lb bags. My mother had a tiny kitchen I don't know how she did it. No matter who showed up on Sunday she always had enough food for everyone.

  6. The last couple month’s videos have been exactly what I needed lately. I practically jumped for joy when I saw there was an upload today. Thanks for taking us along with you ❤️

  8. I just absolutely love watching you preserve food I used to do it I used to have a 16 acre farm and we sold it and I miss that kind of life so I get to live that life again through you so thanks for doing this I so appreciate it I love watching it I get goosebumps knowing you’re going to preserve food because it was enjoyable for me I love the Garden Park I loved it all but now I’m in my 60s and I couldn’t even begin to do that again Health issues keep me from able to do any of that

  9. You accomplished so much today, Becky! Way to go!!!! Tip on shucking corn…cut the stalk end of the cob and the husks and silk peel right off…easy peasy! Thanks for sharing!!!!

  10. If sugar causes harm to us, cut down your sugar during pregnancy. Jaggery or natural sugars don't cause harm. Sugar cane juice is healthy but not processed sugar.

  11. OMG that corn is HUGE!! I live in Tampa Bay Florida and I haven't seen it like that since I lived up north, it's not even close to that size down here and it's not as sweet as the corn I used to get up north, actually kind of bland …is it really sweet up by you?

  12. Becky , I LOVED , LOVED this video , I learn sooo much from you about preserving food , I am more of a hands on learner , I have a hard time concentrating to read a bunch of directions , so watching your videos brings me JOY , Thank You , You are a very hard worker. God Bless.
