In this short video we’ll show you how to feed, weed, protect and even warm up your soil so it’s ready as soon as your plants are.

What type of tool are you using to get rid of weeds??
Still 3 months away from being able to plant but already have some seedlings started. I can't wait to get out to the yard, feed and warm up my soil and get ready for 2021, thanks! p.s. CONGRATS on your book!! The link isn't working though 🙁
I can’t wait to get into the garden! Right now there’s about 4 feet of snow on my beds. But I found last year that sprinkling wood ash on the beds made quick work of melting the snow in early spring.
We're still under snow and 60mph winds up here in NE England but it looks like better weather is coming this week. I'm itching to get started, I've been playing with the garden planner for weeks 🙂
Here everything is still frozen. We still have wait some days. Thankyou for your video.
I already started growing in a spare room. The indoor garden is waiting for good weather. It might be another two months at this rate.
As soon as the three feet of snow melts I will do that! 😉
Your enthusiasm is infectious. Can’t wait to get going this spring. Thank you.
great video andy
Brilliant presenter. Easy on the eye and ear. Well delivered information made easy to absorb.
Hi I have a patio that I frequently enjoy and grill out on. Should I not put raised beds up against the patio because bugs will swarm the area?? Like if I’m grilling and chilling, will there be bugs around ?
The thumbs down must come from the supermarkets.
this is my job this weekend 🙂 top all the no dig beds . just waiting on a delayed delivery
Not like you at all. I cant even imagine being that happy. Also, Im in Canada, and about 4ft of snow is currently covering my garden bed.
But Ben, there’s a foot of snow on my garden!
I can't wait to plant thanks for the great vid
Thank you
Ben..I am creating a new herbacious perennial Prairie garden on an old lawn which is quite clayey ..I have used a to rotavator to break everything up ..I was thinking of digging in with the rotavator a large quantity of composted wood chips to help break up the soil further and iprove draiage..Is this a good idea?..Would the wood chips damage /poison the new plants that I will plant into the beds?..I have also considered covering the beds with compost after digging the wood chips in..Should I avoid using the wood chips altogether? Thanks in advance
Excellent information as we've come to expect of you. You never disappoint.
I just love the way he says "compost".
I just LOVE your videos! Has any one ever told you that you are a doppelganger for Stephen Merchant?
I have tried several years changing soil, seed and adding manure to my garden however my vegetables don't grow any better. I think finally that part of the problem could be the Douglas fur tree, about 15 meters tall on top of my garden. It is covering almost 50% of my garden bed, however my garden bed gets sunlight from the sides of the tree, 4-5 hours daily. I live in in BC, Canada. Any solutions please.
Do you need to use compost in a garden?
I luv ur channel. Im in USA, Zone 6 – the soil is still frozen, sadly.

YouTube adverts are so annoying. They take ages to download and in the end I give up watching my favourite programme
