The 'Black phase' of the Eastern Grey squirrel is a recessive genetic trait. There are large populations of them in my State of Michigan in various towns. They are rare in most of the country.

I agreed to let a fella hay our hay field on halves because our equipment was down and I caught that guy going through our barn!!!! And he was SHOCKED I threw him off our farm. Boom. Done. I don't even listen to folks that stop at the gate anymore. I'll wave but don't stop. Nod. I get it.

So many kids were raised in one-parent families where that parent worked one or two jobs. Kids raising themselves and their siblings is too common these days. It's called common sense.
Operational Security is your first line defense. You should always have something put back that others don't know about. It's dangerous these days to let strangers know that you have resources. Finding a line between what you do publicly and your own personal safety may be difficult.
