Oh Patara, I could so feel your nervousness! Miss Blanche really loves that baby and it’s great you let her raise it.
I had my broody mama hatch out chicks for the first time for her and me this weekend. I was so nervous she’d crush them or kill them so I hatched some in the incubator just in case. When I saw the contentment on her and her babies’ faces as they sat together after hatching, I gave her the incubator babies right away. The love and longing on her face when she saw the new additions was priceless. She’s proven herself to be an excellent first time mom of 8 beautiful little chicks. Meanwhile, I was more nervous through this process than I was with my own children!
Thank you for sharing this one. I needed a reminder today. Sometimes we think we know it all but trusting that we don't and being ok with it is a valuable skill.
