  1. My mom made me fix stuff i broke.. like the Gardengate i broke by climbing over. Fastest way to learn why something is just a no no.

You are getting so much done, Jess and the kids will love it. YOur plans sound cool too.

  2. For the gates – check Elgin Feed Store in Lancaster Co or Tractor Supply in Camden, Lancaster or Pageland. It's a drive north, but they had several goat/wire style black gates from Tartar as recently as last week.

  3. Did you consider asking an auto body shop if they can paint the galvanized gates? Or coat with the truck bed coating. I see that there is something you can do to get the paint to adhere to the galvanized metal.

  4. We bought a house with 1 acre that used to be the main house for a huge farm of apricot orchards, which was sold for 1 acre parcels. Since we bought the main house, it came with a well that had been inactive for 10 yrs. We activated it, and it turned out to be 500 feet deep! Yeah! for our 1 acre. Yat!

  5. Can you maybe just paint it black dear? and also i'm thinking a black gate in 100 degree weather, little legs are gettin burnt climbing it, is that plan to get the kids to stop climbing the gate lol. You are doing so much , bless your heart. Good job Ben you are such a good side kick! Blessings & Love to You, Ben & the rest of the R&R crew. <3 <3

  6. I found a 16' green gate at Big R in Colorado Springs, Co. I have no idea if that will be worth it for you being that far away, but we were headed down that way to pick up our meat rabbit buck and I saw one single gate in the yard and I asked the guy what the size was. I'll send you an email with more details.
