VIDEO: Who's Been Eating My Cucumber Leaves? Cucumber Beetles or Stink Bugs, Either way I've Got Bugs!

I had a bug problem, and my solution was to use Captain Jack’s Dead Bug Brew, its considered organic although I’m not happy about using it. Still, it did solve my bug problem, and the cucumber plants are growing vigorously and producing lots of cucumbers.

  1. NOT ME! Cucumber is the devils fruit. Tastes like it was grown in dirt and my distaste is genetic, so I cannot be held responsible for talking bad about foul cucumber plants. Why not just use fire? Haha. Jk. Sorry about having to become a killer for the sake of cucumbers..

  2. Well I have one huge grasshopper on my okra, and all my leaves have yellow dots… Got a begonia from a grocery store, lots of holes on the leaves, then I noticed tiny snails… That will go straight to the trash. Tried to grow chayote squash, lots of leaves but no veggies…

  3. If it's a crawler, then something sticky around the base of the plant might catch them — Tree Tanglefoot, for example. One sure way of either ID'ing them or making sure they don't come back is to set up a time-lapse. Got flash or IR? …Not that I'd recommend something which could result in another Tikki video or anything.

  4. Have same problem. Starts at bottom but slowly moves up. Also have lot of spotted yellow leaves. Keep cutting off bad leaves. I did have crop planted rather full, but wanted big harvest for pickles and planned to thin out later. Also this is our worst rainy July and that does not help. Sprayed copper fungicide in June once but then the rains came. I do not want to use sprays either but you work so hard growing and sometimes you have to. Also have yellowing and mildew leaves on squash faster this year. One in container not doing so well.
