Your lowering the tomato plant or any plant like that help the plant produce a hormone reaction that makes the plant want to produce more fruit. However below parallel to the ground stops that production. Just a tip.

Plant 5-6 more hickory nut trees. Just think. Your current squirrel population can only eat so much. If you have only one thing in the garden they like and the best thing around to eat of course they are going to eat them. I’m sorry this happened. Don’t feel bad. Love your garden.
Can you show us how to prune blueberry plants and grapes?
Take some molasses, black licorice juice and water and spray everything on the hazelnut tree. Most squirrels hate the black licorice taste. Make sure the molasses is bitter as possible.
Great video. Tuck looks great for his age and will have many more to live by eating out of the garden for sure. My Chico dog died last month. He lived to be 14 and a half. He loved fruit and veggies also.

I know the feeling about your hazel nut tree because the same thing happend to me so I solved my problem by planting several hazel nut trees around the hedges of my garden and it helped a lot and now i am happy and so are the squirrels whom I personaly love very much. There are also trees growing that were planted by them by burrying nuts around the garden. Be kind to nature and nature will be kind to you. For example I plant enough for me and extra for wild life. Nature gives me and I give back to nature. The differance between me and my neighbor is that he uses nets and lots of birds get caught in the nets while they are on holidays and its a sad situation whereas in my garden I only have happy birds and enough food for all of us. I saw a video where a farmer had problems with night visiters eating all his veggies so he made a veggie garden for them and he makes fabulous videos that we all enjoy and everone is living happily. The more you give the more you get in return. Really love your garden.
