It very much makes sense to me that you felt at home at the new farm once you got your dogs there. I think all pet owners resonate with that. I don’t have dogs, but I have a beloved house cat and he is basically my little shadow when I am home. Regarding the dreaded Bermuda Grass, Kevin Espiritu over at Epic Gardening had major issues with Bermuda grass when he first got his urban homestead. He did a great collaboration with Charles Dowding about six months ago when he was starting his no dig beds.

I’m so behind on videos from being on vacation but I’m so glad to be back home!! It feels weird to not garden for 5 days! Great way to get back into it by watching some R&R!!! ❤️
When we moved to the catskills, we realized that 9 acres of property meant we would need a wheel barrow of sorts. My husband bought me an old john deere gator where the front end looks like a motor bike. We lovingly call it scootie.
Soil your completely spot on with the soil being better on low line areas we have a field hill we started an orchard on pigs get rotated in the woods at the bottom of the hill I have brought up constant wheel barrels of black gold soil to spread In the orchard it’s black beautiful and nutrition rich plant clover after we move the pigs to add more nitrogen when the pigs are gone and to build more delicious soil (delicious to plants lol)

just watch this video and had an idea what you can plant on both sides of the drive way. You can plant several trees, something that will be grand and massive and will bloom with a lot of flowers so when you wake up in the morning in sping and will stand at the end of the driveway, you will see all these trees in blooms. It will also create a grand entrance to your house, like in those old movie when you drive to the estate. Keep up a great work!
We thought we recently finally found a great property for a homestead here in upstate NY on 5 beautiful acres. The real estate market here is extremely competitive right now and we’ve been looking for well over a year. We found out that there was so much wrong with both the house and property, we were so sad. But watching you living the dream gives me hope that it will happen for us one day soon ❤️
