I did not know that capsaicin didn't wash off. OOF. That explains SO MUCH. Thanks for the tip! And YES TO HOME GROWN GARLIC! IT LOOKS SO DELICIOUS! (yes to garlic anything really!)
Oh my goodness!! My family loves Sriracha and this would make a wonderful Christmas gift. Thank you for all that you do!! I appreciate it!
SIDE NOTE…when working with chilies or essential oils…you ABSOLUTELY CAN neutralize exposure by pouring on olive oil or any tree nut oil..it ABSOLUTELY will stop the effects of essential oils and chili oils in their tracks
DONT EVER WASH IN WATER AFTER EXPOSIER…IT LITERALLY ACTS AS A DIFFUSER
I think I will just buy it. Im Lazy
Hi Becky I don't know how you did it … let me explain. I am like you since a young age I tested anything in the kitchen and love to preserve anything I can thanks to my granny and mom. My daughter also love's cooking baking gardening ect. Bur she never tried preserving any thing she grows. Until I send her your link. Since then she have so far preserve everything you have a youtube on. Thank you for gave her that confidence. Something I could never get her to do. She is 26 now. Never stop do what you do. And hubby is a great man to support you in every thing you wants to do/try. I have also a hubby like that. Whether its a success of not. God Blessings over you and hubby. Petro from South Africa
wow that is going to be hot lol
you should be able to can to keep it longer
Becky have you looked into pressure canning? It's all I do and it makes me feel so much more comfortable about long term storage
Great video.
I’m gonna do it! I love the idea of fermenting the sauce. Does the fermenting get ruined by canning it?
Do you label your jars and if so what do you use?
I was so excited about a probiotic sriracha…do you have a recipe for that?
Welcome to the Vitamix Club. I recoiled at the price initially, but I make green smoothies and if there are bits, I won’t drink it. The vitamix is worth the price. 8 years later and it still works like a champ and I use it often. We joke that if you put nails into a vitamix, you could make a nail smoothie. Lol
You CAN get it off your skin but it's almost as painful as the burn.
I'm confused, why ferment it if you cooked it out? Thanks, good video.
So I make a fermented hot sauce but I ferment the peppers then I blend it and store in the fridge… never thought you could blend them first…. good to know!
Looks like some Hot Mama sauce. Enjoy watching your videos
I agree with dehydrating the mush. I have Sriracha flakes in my cabinet, it was a gift and it is delicious.
It’s amazing how you use everything and you don’t waste anything
New to canning – currently only in research phase – but what makes this recipe not canning “approved?”
Can i use white sugar instead of brown?
