  1. You got ahead with a youtube channel… and it helped to afford you your escape but, at the loss of another much needed urban farmer. Irony. The same catch 22 that is creating the future food and planet problem.

  2. it would appear your energy freedom costs were simply transferred into the costs of the homestead and supporting technology.
the true form of freedom is not any of this utopian lifestyle… but the income derived from your channel

  3. You should set up two or three mining rigs just to mine doge with some of the excess power. Really high rewards right now something like 95 doge per rig per day. Might be worth some research.

  4. My husband and I read your book a few years ago, and what I really loved was the story of your dad and his entrepreneurial spirit. What a gift for you to grow up with a dad like that! We are trying to do the same for our daughter. Thanks for your sharing your personal life with all of us, and showing us what CAN be done!!

  5. Awesome setup. We turned our system up to test it and disconnected everything. All the breakers are off, batteries disconnected and we're just in standby mode until we need power. We do keep our batteries charged.

  6. Very focused and clear explanation/narration of your activities there Curtis. Thank you for this. … Been following for the duration (of your posts). Tremendous and inspiring all. I know you know the value of what you are currently doing. ~~~ Brilliant! ~~~ And now seems more "calm" more "focused." Soo cool. Thank you so much!

  7. I think relying on inverters to use power at mains voltage causes long term problems. Do everything you can to use power at the voltage you generate it. For example I am building a 12v 450L hot water tank to store energy. Lights are easy. Inverters are like a weak spot where replacement in a crisis could put your whole operation at risk.
