  1. I'm researching trees right now so I can order several fruit trees for the spring. I'm thinking about grafting different varieties on to the apple later on, after starting with the right rootstock with good disease resistance. There's so much info online, it's confusing.

  2. Another great video as I have been watching and learning for a while now. I want to plant Mcintosh crosses in the spring and was wondering where a good place to buy dwarfs or mini dwarfs would be?

  3. Thanks so much for the update about your apple trees from seeds. I have 2 I am growing since 1 year. I am just impressed that I got them through the winter in Tahoe. They both look strong. I hope for the best.

  4. Graft Prigioni Apple scion on a rootstalk bearing Gigantic Fruit

  5. Could you make a video of the best places to get fruit trees on the web. I live in rural middle of nowhere and there's no good places locally to get fruit trees. Thanks James, love your content!

  6. All I can say is “ perfect “ nothing like a small sweet apple not too much just enough. You have inspired me to be patient and wait for my perfect little apples that I will try to grow from seed as well thank you

  7. Hi, im from Malaysia. Early this year, i found that lots of seeds in a pack of store bought apples have grow roots while in refrigerator. I plant about 20 in tray using peat moss. Now after 10 month, 5 survived & i already transfer them to 5" pot each. The tallest is around 10" tall while the smallest is probably 4", all have very thin trunk, only a bit bigger than graphite inside normal pencil.

I keep the pot under edge of roof, where they get about 4 hour direct sunlight & sheltered from heavy rain. I sometime give processed chicken manure organic fertilizer (npk 5.5.5) & it seems ok, no burn.

Main pest that i can see are very small ants & yellow color aphid which cause mature leaves to curl & new shoot to dry & die. Have some brown color spot also, not sure if its fatal.

Any advice if its ok to plant direct on soil or transfer to bigger pot? I really want them to grow bigger but really worry about climate here. Daytime here usually between 29-34 celsius, with lots of heavy rain & humid air & soil. My soil is mostly reddish clay mix with lots of composted leaves & old chicken manure from my chicken coop.

Thanks in advance for any suggestion & advice on soil, watering, fertilizer & anything for the plants !

  8. My daughter’s fiancé is allergic to fruit and I just started wanting to add fruit to my property because of your inspiration. I planted 4 blueberry bushes, have one apple tree and one pear tree (but the trees don’t flower/produce). Can you please go over what bushes you have that produce fruit? I might keep the fruit growing in one area of the property so we can limit exposure on visits.
