  1. Growing up my family had a jigsaw puzzle tradition, especially on weekends or holidays when we were all hanging around. I have to say, the puzzles were always way too many pieces to finish by mealtime. However, my parents always just covered it with a table cloth. Sure, sometimes your water glass tilted a bit because it was half on a piece and half on the table, but it worked, and after the meal, we cleared the table, took off the table cloth and got back to the puzzle. I hope you find ways to enjoy your new tradition!

  2. Starting a new tradition with the jigsaw puzzles is great! My mom has taken my 3 sisters and I on a trip each fall for the last 11 years and we always look for a new puzzle to work on together while on that trip!

  3. Thank you for speaking to the ill effects of childhood trauma it is only now being discussed by alternative and functional doctors. I have personally researched this as a childhood trauma survivor. EFT/tapping, EMDR therapy and a Trauma Informed Breathwork Practioner are all good places to start so as to not re-traumatize yourself. Flower Essences are also helpful with dealing with trauma on a day to day basis. The Body Keeps the Score and Why Zebras Don't Get Ulcers are two good books to learn about this.

  4. Another thing that is really cool when everyone’s around the table at Christmas or Thanksgiving is to have a white or light colored tablecloth and everybody sign their name to it all the way around the table and each holiday and then you can even stitch them within Rotary stitches or something to enhance their names it’s very cool and as you see your family grow. I hope you like this idea. I love all your videos

  5. I had urinary tract problems as a kid, reflex was what they called it. I was on an antibiotic from age 2 to 12 for chronic bladder infections and to prevent kidney infections. I feel you on be in and out of hospitals as a kid. I grew out of it but anytime I feel a UTI possibility starting now I take it very seriously. My 8 year old son has a lot of serious health issues as well. He was in the hospital for a week back in September. He was really interested in what you had to say about what you've gone through, because he doesn't know many people who have been through serious medical issues like him.

  6. I have had back problems for years now. I have just learned to live with it as part of my life. Lately I have been thinking maybe I should try going to a doctor again for it and see if I can live a life without that pain, but it's definitely a hump to get over. Trying again to care for yourself when you've mostly given up and accepted what is as inevitable. I will take this timely vid as a sign that I should seek medical help again

  7. this is random, I know, but does anyone have any holistic remedies for dry eyes? I have the worst dry eyes now. It started about two years ago and has progressively gotten worse and is awful right now due to the cold weather and I am just at a loss as to what to do. I get abrasions on my eye every few weeks now. I would just be so thankful for this issue to go away. Thanks in advance! <3

  8. I feel like you are living my dreams. And mostly they are simple things I am working towards. We finally got out of the city to the country a couple years ago. You embody in this particular vlog about various examples of my plans, sourdough starters, vanilla extract and puzzles… well we do puzzles already. I just feel like we are moving along the same wavelength at different speeds. God Bless YOU! Love the videos. Thank you for sharing.
