  1. I have a question – You paid for the whole hog hang weight, but there was so much meat/so many different cuts that you did not get. Do you get your money back for the meat you did not get?

  2. My four yr old daughter informed us if she was cooking in Becky's kitchen she would become the best chef….we love doing stuffed pork loin with sausage, spinach, tomatoes, mozzarella and ricotta. Delicious.

  3. This may sound strange bc you seem like a very good noodle, but this channel is my new fav to blow trees to. Like you are consistently inspiring my day and blowing my mindddd babe. Love what you're doing

  4. You will LOVE canned pork butt for pulled pork. My family likes it better than any out there and we live in the South lots of BBQ to try. I just cube it, sear it, pack in jars, add salt and cover with boiling water, can for 75 mins for pints and 1 hour and 30 mins. for quarts. (from Ball bluebook canning book) To serve I drain most of the liquid add favorite BBQ sauce and a splash of liquid smoke heat and serve.

  5. Hello from Washington County! In 2007 we started buying hogs from local friends. We buy every two out of three years, to give us a year to catch up and use up. We bought beef once, but found that we just prefer pork and chicken. Thumbs up to the Meating Place! They processed our last few hogs, and are an excellent business.

  6. Love this! We are ordering our first 1/2 cow today and I was thinking about getting a whole pig too. This was a great visual of how much meat you get. Love it!

Also, where do you buy your chickens from? Do you buy them whole from a rancher too?

  7. Our hog is at the butcher right now. We did the same thing and bought a hog from a local rancher. We are in a different area but the price was pretty much the same per pound. I'm excited to get our meat!

  8. Pulled pork makes fantastic tamales. I just purchased a 8lb pork shoulder and will get a few dozen tamales and 3 more meals for 2 people. Cooked it covered low & slow overnight, shredded, portioned and froze it. Will season when i am ready to use it.

  9. Thank you so much for this one! My in-laws are beef breeder so we have alway got a side of beef each year but just put our name on the list for a pig with a cousin for next fall and really was sure what to expect. This helped a great deal.
