Fun having your tour of your lovely kitchen. We changed our counter tops and what a difference this made. I went with granite as my son could get a great discount because he is a contractor. We got a new refrigerator because it died just after we finished the counter tops. Our home was built 1980. It's a farmhouse kitchen. I love it and I'm into wallpaper look. My while house is dated. I am trying to do a little change here and there. I have old breakfronts, an antique organ cabinet with a keyboard in it. I love old kitchen items, utensils and bowls. I love what my hubby and I have done with our home. It's cozy and warmed with a great wood stove in the family room. I'm so pleased to have the country look. It's very inviting and comfortable. I have a parlor and a large dining room. We also have a big area with my parent's family table. The table in the dining room is my husband's family table.
I like what and why you have done different things to your kitchen. It's fun and so rewarding. It is you!
I love it! I also have black appliances. Just had to order a new dishwasher…in stock bc it's black. The cabinets are awesome idea!! …happy New Year!

Smart changes! As for the light, we have similar in our basement. You can get LED tubes for brighter light if you don't love the light quality from the fluorescent tubes.
I love your kitchen, looks great! Love the black cabinets and the backsplash. I would love to see the wood stove and how you are using it. My great uncle had one ( in the 50’s) and my mother and aunt would cook on it every Sunday! Had a lot of great Sunday meals! Wishing you and yours a very Blessed New Year!
