  1. Azure costs more, in my opinion, however, everything I have purchased from them has been either organic or very high quality. That is the difference. I think they are much better than your average store, but yes some things will cost more but well worth it.

  2. I didn't know there was another way to make lasagne, I've always made it with a Bolognese/béchamel base (in England so maybe we do it different here!). For another really delicious take on lasagne, my partner always adds a thin layer of sweet potato to the top before adding the last cheese and sauce layer. Not something I'd ever heard of before but it tastes really good 🙂

PS. You could try growing some microgreens for the 2 month challenge, they're super quick and easy to do on a windowsill and can be sown from so many things!

  3. We have free trucks here n lamar mo on mon, wen, fri& I can also once a month get a couple big boxes of food from same place once a month! I dont need 2 grow my own stuff! Nothing goes 2 waste cuz my 12 dogs&kenoma cats eat any left overs or stuff I cant eat!(allergic or hurts my belly)

  4. I love your show, I have been watching you for the last year. I always see your hair up and I understand it is because you are cooking which I appreciate that because I have seen so many cooking shows that ladies keep their hair down. Now I know they are just cooking for their family but even your family doesn’t want hair in their food. I know your busy doing things in the garden also that is why your hair is up but I would love to see it down just one time. Thanks for doing this show and I can’t wait to see you again. Have a wonderful day

  5. Honestly the easiest way I have ever done sourdough starter is you mix equal arts flour and equal parts water in a jar. Feed for the next 7 days and is pretty ready to use a week after starting. The longer you feed it and keep it the more flavor it I’ll develop. Also the more protein rich flour you use the stronger the protein chains will develop.

  6. I am sorry not to see you and your mom cooking together like a well-oiled machine, but I'm even more sorry you were sick and missed the Christmas celebration! Looking forward to your dad's British Birthday Dinner. And hopefully someday soon you can reach the pinnacle of two story cleaning convenience: a vacuum cleaner on each floor. Please let us know if you like the Rumiano butter better than Kerrygold.

  7. Becky, so sorry about your Christmas, we too had to cancel our christmas because my husband was sick, for the first time in 35 years I was not with my kids & grandkids on christmas day, UGH! so I understand the disappointment. But out of our control and we move forward! Thanks for the positivity, and for all your tips, I am an old dog learning New tricks from your channel. Really appreciate you!

  8. Anyone else think that buying so much food to "use up the food you have" is counter-productive? I understand you'd have to buy some ingredients to make a complete meal from what you have, but this seems like a huge haul vs. just trying getting the few ingredients you need to complete a meal. I couldn't afford to spend this much at one time.

  9. For your cleaning products I 100% agree! It’s so much easier keeping things in every room. Be sure to keep the bottles and see if you can buy a bulk 2 pack jug from Costco. That’s what I do. It’s been a while, but when I counted it before I was able to save some money. Plus, less waste of tossing out perfectly fine spray bottles.

  10. So regarding not having fresh salad mix for 2 months.. I think I have an idea that can help because I do this for fun at home… you have lettuce seeds right… many greens are 30 day to harvest. Buy yourself a LED light rods on amazon.. and stick a few seeds indoors under a light and succession plant them for a few fresh heads of lettuce a month/week. You don't need a tent for this and you can grow in soil/coconut coir/water. You'll just need a space like an extra room or a basement where the lights wont bother you. (also, those LED lights will last you about 3 years being run 12 hours a day all year and will cost you like $10-$20 for the year in electricity – I cant tell you enough how amazing of an investment they are and just like that you have the power to grow things you want all year)

  11. Hi Becky, love your channel and your up beat spirit! Do you have your lasagne recipe posted somewhere? I think I can do it but would love your recipe! Glad to see you are on the mend! OX

  12. Beef wellington is a must for everyone! I stopped by one of Hell's Kitchen restaurants while in Vegas and O.M.G!!! That is still the best piece of meat I've ever had. And I looooove steak so that says a lot! Please make a video when you make this! Much love and blessings sent your way!

  13. The difference between American and Canadian, i bought a 50lb bag of oats( same producers (, through bulk barn because we don't have azure, 90$ still a great price imo for breakfasts. Oh also we have goats and make cheese all the time, if you need your own cheddar cheese press they're super easy to make yourself, be careful with your milk choice, and don't let yourself get discouraged, mozza is so easy, cheddar not as much
