Carrot cake is my favorite cake too. My husband makes me the BEST carrot cake from scratch every December 19. Happy belated to both of you!!!
Man, making a homegrown pizza from my farm is my dream. I long for the day that I get to make my first homemade pizza!
I don't like icing either, to the point that when I got a little older, I started to request pies for my birthday. But carrot cake was never an issue because it was a cream cheese frosting. Now I go for a Tiramisu or an Italian Rum Cake, which neither have standard cake frosting.
Jess…get prepared. Today is New Years Eve & we're still in the 70's. By Monday the high will be around 50 or so. That usually means that our 1-2 weeks of Winter is coming upon us!!! Just guessing, we'll be seeing some freezing nights within the next week or so. Then the days will grow cooler by the day. So protect whatever plants you have accordingly. Our weather changes drastically at a moments notice!!!
It helps to make the flour lighter and fluffier and for every 2 cups sifted flour its 1 3/4 cups unsifted flour so you actually use less flour when sifting
