VIDEO: Flowerfarm Sunflower Haul | Sunflower Selections Unboxing

On a flower farm, once you grow Procut sunflowers, you never go back. And I like to get mine straight from the source – the developers website, Sunflower Selections. Join Serina to unbox all her sunflower seeds and chat about varieties and colours that worked best for her last year. Why she is growing Double Quick with her Procuts (even though her favorite is Greenburst). And her grand plans to convince the world that Sunfill isn’t an ugly duckling, but a swan.

  1. Serina, have you tried the terracotta from SS? I purchased this year and am eager to see how they will be for fall bouquets! My favorite last year was the starburst lemon eclair.

  2. Serina if you enjoy the green sunburst when it blooms for it's "architecture"- you would really enjoy the HULK Aster. It's probably one of my favourite "ugly" flowers, it adds such a nice filler touch to a bouquet! I'm going to check out Sunflower Selection- it's great that they deliver to Canada. Thanks for this informative video!

  3. Serina your bouquets have become sooooooooo much better then when you first started with the cut flowers, you’ve developed an eye for texture and colour selection. They look gorgeous

  4. I wondered what sunfield look like in full bloom, and i agree, they are very unusual, proportion is like its a giant head with relatively small petals just opening up. Looks very fresh. Orange/bright yellow grew on me this year,, i totally blame Serina! In all-yellow bouquets they really shine 🙂 but my favourite are white! And havent Steve sent you some of his doubles? I thiught he did…

  5. I absolutely LOVE the format of this video. Beautiful backdrop, excellent editing to highlight each flower variety, and great focus on your narrative. Looking forward to many more like this.

  6. I ordered from Sunflower Selections because of your video last year! I like to be able to support smaller seed companies. Not sure how I feel about the fact that I placed my order before I saw this video. You featured several varieties I now wish I ordered. Probably for the best, I guess. I don't need more seeds, but I want them! Also, I love that you love "ugly" flowers. I've gained such an appreciation for varieties that are off the beaten path because of your videos. You have a great eye for design. Wishing you and your family health and a plentiful growing season!

  7. I'm a home grower and I agree about the Starburst Greenburst! I've been growing them a few years and kind of just happened into them. Thanks for the info here. I'm going to try the ProCut White Lite too and I'll think about succession growing for the ProCuts. I think I still have some Gold Lite from last year but had no idea what I was doing in terms of timing. Thanks!
