Thank you for the update on Helen, Jess! She will have her calf in her own good time, as our good God has appointed. So happy she has all of you to watch over her and her beautiful baby, and such a wonderful barn to protect them. Looking forward to seeing the sweet, new, little kids, too, in the not too distant future. Can't remain sad or moopy when you see them running, jumping, and playing. They brighten the heart and soul!
So nice your older boys are playing ball. My son loved baseball, played all through elementary and high school. It gave him good exercise, structured fun, and community. It also helped that his Dad was the coach, helping to forge a stronger and more beautiful bond between them. My son never got the chance to share it with his son, who decided on soccer and Tae Kwon Do. My son also loved woodworking, building things with his hands, which his son has inherited. Sadly, someone broke into our garage when my son's Dad died in 2008, stealing all his and his Dad's tools. My son died this past October 2021, shortly after we all celebrated his 49th birthday, so all that joy and acquired knowledge is now gone.
Ezra did great painting the frog garden marker! What a sweet heart to make those for you and your garden! You two have surely parented your boys well, with a love of giving and doing for others.
Looking forward to Miah's new channel and whatever he chooses to teach and share! Love to learn even tho I'm 75, a widow, and my only child is now gone. Where there is life God can still bring hope and joy. Although I rent, I finally got permission to have a container garden on the cement slab behind my house. My landlord, a relative from an old relationship, is also thinking about chickens. We will see what doors God opens for us.

Watch for her to start swishing her tail alot. Thats a sign of labor. I live on a cattle ranch and thats what i have witnessed. She is extremely close. IF the temp drops low in the night she might have the calf. It has something to do with barometric pressure. I cant wait to see that little face. Also if she tries to isolate herself from the other cows, thats a sign too.
Can I give some feedback about the camera? The camera you always uses, the footage are very shaky sometimes. The go pro I really liked because it was very still. The only thing I saw with that that was a problem is that the sound was very soft so I had to turn up the sound on my side. The barn looks great and hopefully Helen will give birth soon. 🙂
