Just started watching ( only on EP.26). Last year was my first time gardening with some success. By that I mean I killed 2 rounds of tomato sprouts. We didn't give up, finally in June we plant our 3rd round and got a good batch of tomatoes. Now we have the high! I Want to winter sow, but we don't drink milk. I saw someone do a "green house" using a wood box in the ground with a window covering the top. Would this work to start onions and herbs? We don't have access to a lot of grow lights so we are trying to make it work. We are in Ohio 6A.
Q: IS IT BETTER TO SIT THE JUGS DIRECTLY ON THE GROUND AS OPPOSED TO A TABLE OR CONCRETE WHERE THEY GET COLDER?? OR COULD I PUT THEM IN A SHORT BOX ON A TABLE TO BE ABLE TO REACH MORE SUNLIGHT THROUGHOUT THE DAY AND THE BOX PROTECT THE SOIL TEMP??

Birds are chirping here in Northeast San Antonio TX. Today it should reach up to almost 70 degrees, but tomorrow night it will be around 22 degrees!

You can use clear plastic storage bins to cover them too
I would like snow if it is going to be cold too, and it hasn't snowed here like it used to about twenty years ago.

Hello. I'm looking for a tomato that will be called redetto .. it will taste like strawberry. I think it will be high. The tomatoes grow in long clusters and are like cherry tomatoes
