  1. So much fun to get seeds we've ordered! I also don't really like radishes, BUT when someone suggested roasting them I decided to try that and WOW, they were AMAZING! Now I'm planning to grow a lot this year. We love basil so every year we grow a ton: chocolate basil, thai basil, lemon basil, purple basil, cinnamon basil and sweet basil. One year, when we lived in a different home, we grew 15 types of tomatoes and had incredible yields! Nasturtiums are wonderful in the garden. Not only are they completely edible, but along with marigolds have bug repellent properties. Cosmos are also one of my fav flowers. Have fun with all your gardening this year.

  2. I think you will LOVE the Opalka Tomatoes. Really delicious even in salads plus great sauce.. They have "Wispy" plants but yield very well for me.(North Central Minnesota garden) plus you can save the seeds easily.

  3. Corn crosses so do not plant them to close together. Also, corn needs lots of water and feeding fertilizer to do well planted in blocks. It does well with sunflowers, okra, runner beans and squash. I have never had good luck with corn in raised beds only direct sowing in the ground. Look up three (some say 4) sister gardening if you don't know about that way of planting. 3 sisters might be a good way to grow some of what you have planned.

  4. I grew Borge (small blue flower with hairy feeling leaves) my first year gardening. I grew it with my strawberries because I read it is good to grow with that crop. Never planted again and it comes up different places in the yard. It is pretty and attracts pollinators. Mine falls over a lot. The flowers & leaves are edible but, cook the greens to get the fuzzy prickly-ness off. I find it is not that tasty but, someone else might like the taste.

  5. Becky, I think I failed in posting my comment from when I was actually watching your video earlier. Briefly, I've also had trouble with Amish Paste (Principe Borghese as well). So far the best paste tomato for me has been Blue Beech, but it bears late. I still search. My best squashes are usually standard-type butternuts. I am not sure they are Waltham because I have grown my own from what were originally compost volunteers. I also sometimes grow enough parsley to last the whole year, but that is a bit more difficult in Colorado. I like Territorial's commitment to good genetics, it's just their stuff doesn't often apply to my conditions here. For you they should be amazing.

  6. I have to move unexpectedly and can't grow this year or I don't know when at this point so I've kinda stopped myself from watching seed and gardening videos other than for a few of my fave creators like yourself because I love ya and need to support in the only way able now. I can't wait to see tour garden after its flourished and you do your harvest videos.❤ Happy Early Valentine's day, I love you, Josh, your families and your channel Becky.

  7. Becky, I need suggestions for a irrigation system, I'm building a tiered garden- tiers total and I want to utilize rain water from water barrels when water is available otherwise use spigot water. Do you or anyone else have any suggestions for me ?

  8. Becky, I have to ask you because I think you would know… If I buy a bag of beans like black, black eye, Lima, pinto beans, can you plant said beans in garden and they grow? Sorry if this is a stupid question.
