VIDEO: Growing TOMATO Plant From Tomato Slice TIME LAPSE – Seed To Fruit in 120 Days

Growing a tomato plant from a tomato slice was one of the first growing videos i made almost 2 years ago so naturally i had to make one all the way to fruit 🙂

It got a bit out of control though. My plan was not to prune it at all and just let it grow however it wanted to. But that was a bad idea, it got waay to big for its pot and reaching all the way to the ceiling. And that’s probably why i had trouble pollinating the flowers. Happy it made a few tomatoes at least. Next time i do tomato i will prune to make it more bushy.

  1. I would've cut the little branches growing between the main stem and normal side branches (If you get which ones I mean, for example visible at 1:44 on the right) when they are still small because that usually means the plant has more energy to grow the tomatoes instead or the leafes etc! Great video nevertheless 🙂

  2. Neat video! It looks like you got an indeterminate variety, those things keep growing until they run out of room. Also if you had pruned the suckers it would have produced more fruit sooner.

  3. Hi! I recently saw your dragonfruit video and it inspired me to grow a dragonfruit myself, a few days ago i saw something green, looks like its sprouting. How big is your dragon fruit now?

  4. Awesome work! That tomato looked a little leggy though. How close are you keeping the light to the seedlings? They should be pretty close (inches away, not feet) especially when the plants are small.
