  1. My 30 year old son called me in tears the other night and said he thought things were not going to get better and had a horrible feeling they were going to get a lot worse. I just said he was feeling that because they were going to get worse and I hoped that he would get ready as he could. He knows I have prepared for the last five years and has never made fun but I don’t think he believed it would get real bad. I kinda think he wanted assurances that things would be fine and dandy but I couldn’t assure him of that. His wife thinks he’s having a mental breakdown, I know he’s just realizing how hard things are going to get. He has many good skills he learned growing up he just needs to get the spam so I can stretch mine further for us.

  2. My kids HATE when I talk about it…but I still do. They HATE when I make them go and work in the garden…but they still have to do it. They HATE when I point out the gas prices jumping up. They take notice though. I'm good at being the bad cop.

  3. You say the people that aren’t growing their own food most likely don’t know how. Wonder if you could focus on teaching them? Even though I grow my own food I would love to see more of the basics of how you do it.

  4. I get it. This is the topic that keeps me up at night. Having raised two Autistic children and dealing with their disabilities and their understanding how the world works is what's stressing me to the gills. Now that my kids are 31 and 30 still just don't get it. I prep as hard as I can because just the thought of not being able to feed them and them not understanding why there may be no food is incomprehensible to the average person to understand the added struggles of dealing with disabilities.

  5. Even when it's just been a tough few weeks, rained out at work, pickup/car broke down, medical bill came in (and we all know those all happen at once) having a full pantry will save you at some point. So why anyone begrudge that is beyond me, but we shall continue to stock up more for as long as we are able.

  6. You’re precious. Absolutely right about everything you are saying. Americans are so ill prepared and so clueless about what is coming. They have no idea how bad the times coming will be.

  7. Remember as a little kid. White bread and milk gravy. Flavored with bacon drippings and using government powdered milk. Tastes fantastic when your a starving child.

  8. I knew hard times growing up so did my daughter I was a single low wage single mom so that helps her understand what's going on in the world,we talk alot about it, my pantry is in pretty good shape gonna take inventory this weekend see what I need more of…..I agree kids need to know….bless you people needed that video…

  9. I dont care what people think and I think you are awesome. I am in Canada and would love to get my ass to your part of USA. Canada is real bad right now. Was honest will all my family members. Some listened and some laughed

  10. Thank you for your inspiration. We moved to and began setting up a small farm less than a year before shutdown. Running as fast as we can. What you said about gardening learning curve and failure is accurate. One of many things I’ve learned, if my little planning book says 3 plants per person, plant ten. Lol! And get your food preserving and gardening things months before you need them. The way most of us have lived is getting what you need when you need it. Not any more.

  11. I love you dear. you crack me up. Truth is truth and I would tell all of those that want us to not speak of the troubles that are coming . "BUCK UP BUTTERCUP" it is about to get real.
