Becky, think about having your trees pruned up. I just had all mine pruned and some raised 30 ft. I have so much sun now to grow more veggies and roses.

Josh needs a manual post hole digger (not electric)…super easy and you don't have to shave the end of the post. Pot some gravel on the bottom of the hold, then the post.

It's easier to dig a hole and cement the posts in or pound the dirt back in the hole. Josh is a great guy.
You can sear the bottoms of your logs over a fire pit to seal them and prevent rotting instead of paying for a product to seal them.
Interesting. I never heard of driving wood posts. We always dug a hole with a post hole digger, then pour some concrete in the hole or just tamp dirt if the soil had clay.

Wow, I’m very impressed with what you do on 1 acre. We live on 15 acres, and have a small garden, but no chickens. My neighbor has chickens and gives us eggs. We are retired and do things in a leisurely way. I really enjoy watching all that you share with us. Thank you
