Inflation – The problem is in how we calculate it. Somehow, we decided to make "it easier" and in that process drop virtually all consideration to unit prices or the cost per ounce, the cost per pound, etc… We decided that was too much math for the general population to understand. Instead we went to volume descriptors of things like "family size", "standard size", and "normal size". So while there has been shrinkflation in termsmof ounces and pounds, we have not in terms of "standard size" because "standard size" has been reduced.
