  1. The shake trick works great for me ( I’ve been doing it for many years)
    Once my eggs are done cooking, I pour off the hot water and replace with room temp water…. And then I SHAKEEEE!!
    I think the reason the hack didn’t work was because you had too much water into ur jar so the egg wasn’t able to hit the jar for the shell to break…

  2. Putting a just bit of baking soda in the water while boiling the eggs makes them peel super easily! I don't know the science behind it, but my sister introduced me to the practice a few years ago and I've never looked back. I swear I used to spend a solid 10 to 15 minutes peeling my two little eggs for lunch and now they practically slip out of the shell like nothing at all!

  4. The reason why the Instant Pot makes even fresh eggs peel easily is that it STEAMS the eggs. You only need 1 cup of water to do dozens and dozens of eggs in the IP. To replicate that on the stove, don't fill the pot completely up with water. You need just about an inch of water at the bottom of the pan. Bring to a simmer, and place the eggs in. COVER and let them cook for about 11-12 minutes. IMMEDIATELY ice/water bath. Perfect peels EVERY SINGLE TIME.

I always boil my eggs, then dump out the boiled water and refill the pot with cold tap water, let it sit for a couple of minutes then I tap the egg on the counter once to weaken the shell, then roll the egg between my hands firmly. I find it's SO fast because it loosens the membrane and I can quickly peel the shell off

  6. Favorite hack for hard boiled eggs is to add about a teaspoon of vinegar to my boiling water. Doesn’t affect the taste at all but the vinegar softens the shell, leaving a smooth hard boiled egg that’s easy to peel! Hope this helps! ☺

  7. To peel boiled eggs, crsc4k them on all surfaces, then p9erl a small pue3ce off each end to find the air space. You start peeling from the air space end while holding the egg under running water. The water needs to get between the shell and tbe membrane and the shell comes off nicely leaving a pretty egg. Any bits of membrane can be easily rubbed off.

  8. Really fresh eggs shouldn’t be hard boiled for at least 2 weeks, with that being said then after boiling the eggs they need to be kept in cold water and you may need to add ice, then crack them and roll them on the counter which about 90% of the time releases the shell from the eggs and they are easier to peel.
