  1. I was so blessed that my sister found me blackberries and grape tomatoes at 2 for $5 and gave me a huge cantaloupe, and you can bet I will save seeds from that beautiful cantaloupe! May or may not come up, it's for a friend who is a lifelong farmer. We have BEEN in a hot mess for a long time! I truly never thought I would ever eat fresh fruits and veg again! We are in a 10 year drought worse than the Great Depression. Today, I was blessed!

  2. There are many cherry growers here in Central Washington that have been told if they can't deliver 2 bins of cherries per acre to not pick them or they could be paying the packing facilities and get no returns for their crop. The previous years average is 7 bins per acre. I am now putting 15 lbs in through the freeze dryer, will be getting more from my old employer. Gas here is $5.47 a gallon except at Costco it is $4.99.

  3. I'm finally getting to watch your video waiting for my last canner to finish. I bet your great-grandmother did a whole lot of praying. And she probably stayed super super busy doing her part at home.

  4. If only I had learned more from my very wise grandparents about living off the land, canning , etc. but working on a few things. Thanks Pattara. Prayers for all. FYI the big C may be on the rise again in some areas. Fire up your immune systems

  5. Thanks Patara! Just want to say I bought a pkg of Okra from the Dollar Tree a few weeks ago. I put them between 2 damp paper towels in a plastic sandwich container for 2 days. They all sprouted and I planted, ,2 days later they were up. I put outside yesterday. They are growing great, now have to get them in the ground. My Dollar Tree seeds have outperformed my big label seeds.

  6. Another great video Patara and yes I’ve been seed saving and I also been shopping online for extra seeds there is a lot of seed deals out there and I also wanted to ask if you have seen or heard anything about soil contamination? Thank you Patara

  7. Yes. I spoke with my flower and veg farmer that I buy my flowers and veggies from. She said huge shortage of jalapeño seeds. I had to travel around looking for plants. For some reason my seeds weren’t germinating. She said there will be no spike plants next year and for me to save my spike plants from this year.
