You bet, we have garden dates! And it is a gift when you can work side by side and partner in the labors of the land. My grandma would tell us “one hand washes the other” and we all had our hands in the picking, canning or work of the day.
How do you cure onions
My family and I love diggin up our taters. I’ve found here in NW GA that the reds do best so I’ve not even bothered growing the white varieties anymore.
❤❤
I have a Preferred Members Account with TSC and am supposed to get free shipping on orders over $29. Living 35 miles from the nearest TSC, and being 70 years old, I rely on the free shipping for my Chicken, dog and cat food.
I've had no problems over the past 2 years, but in the past 3 months the shipping charges won't deduct at checkout. Last week I attempted to place an online order for $102. There was a shipping charge of $80 that wouldn't subtract from the order.
I called TSC and the customer service rep tried to place the order for me, but couldn't get the shipping charge to drop. He was unable to explain what the problem was.
Family members are picking orders up for me if they're going that way.
I have written to TSC Corporate asking for an explanation.
Is anyone else having this problem with TSC?
Just saw your notice for Dr John Campbell's video on baby development. I had already watched it. It's a great video & reminder of how precious our little ones are. This is from a retired L&D RN that was working in L&D in 1973 when this ruling started. I have personally seen the devastation this has caused. Thanks for your videos.
How do you can onions
I pulled potatoes today they seem small for getting them just on time planted some more even though I have to pull in 2 weeks
Patara you are awesome!
This is not the normal question? How do you keep the mice, ants, other critters out of your garden area and inside your home?
We rent in AZ so we are starting a patio garden. You are a fiesty hard worker and I could listen to you all day
We chop and freeze onions and bell peppers. Use small snack size baggies… just the two of us…Works great!
I love those little taters with a cream sauce bacon bits, peas and onion.
How do you can your onions?
Patricia, are you going to leant more potatoes to harvest thus yr?
Cure them.
Patara, What are the Cherokee corn beets/beans??? Flower, corn??? Never see this!
Yes! Love me some Little House – I’ve watched it so often & always dreamed of living the way they did. It’s slowly starting to come to fruition on our little close to 6 acre spot. Our little house in the Big woods. We have a sizable for us garden, container garden, and 9 raised beds. Now that we have started growing in ground, I sort of wish we started there bc everything seems to do much better in our red clay. Thanks for sharing!!
I would dehidrate them onions
Wash and dry those tiny potatoes, then fry them. They are so good!
I had a week of being sick and got so far behind on everything. I wondered why i hadn't been getting notifications of your videos and i guess YouTube thought i should be unsubscribed! Not a chance! You have such an amazing spirit and I learn so much from you! Thank you for ALL that you do!
I learned so much from my great grandparents and my grandfather about gardening. I miss them to this day!
I’m struggling to grow a garden in TX, it is just so hot! My okra is thriving but most other stuff is burning out. I will try to get a fall crop. My strawberries are tiny, anyone have ideas on that?
Just wondering how the potatoes in the buckets are doing. I'm hoping to be able to try that here soon. Thanks for all your info & bless you for helping that little toad.
Super excited! So… my daughters bought me a "cheapo" (no pressure gauge) Presto pressure canner a couple years ago for my birthday, Fathers Day, Christmas (one of those holidays) and while I put it in my preps, I never used it. Got it out, cleaned it as per the booklet and decided to do a few dry runs (no food inside) to figure out the 10 psi. (for my altitude) jiggler. After a couple of different tries, I got the heat setting on my stove figured out to make it jiggle just right! Pork roast, beef stew, beans and ham, cabbage and bacon, meat loaf… Its on! Lets get to canning!!!
Looks like the ground in Az for the past 7 years.
Your garden is so far ahead of mine here in western Washington.
