it was a tobacco spitter normally they are in tobacco crops I've seen them and you can check it out just goggle it
Thanx I needed this.
The scene from Kung Fu about the grasshopper applies to the times we are in. I've remembered that scene for fifty years now.
The last time I saw a LOT of grasshoppers I was a child about 8 to 9 years old and there were hundreds and hundreds of them in a grown-up weedy area beside my babysitter's house. I'll be 45 in September.
PLEASE PRAY FOR MY HUSBAND AND I HE'S SICK AND I'M SICK AND WE BOTH HAVE BACK PROBLEMS BUT I'M STILL TRYING MY BEST TO GET US READY. THANKYOU.
I tried to post a picture of a Grasshopper that appeared on my bed at the beach in September of 2020. That was the last trip I took with my Father, he passed the next week. I wouldn’t have thought anything about but we were on the 12th Floor. I totally believe it was a sign.
This is very encouraging and amazing. Thanks for sharing!
I’ve had huge brown grasshoppers eating my kale.
Sounds like a locust
Wise words.. I'm up late right now 1am finishing up canning 7 quarts of corn more to do tomorrow.. altogether a bushel that I was blessed with getting. I planted strawberries that didn't come up replanted lettuce in that area. Tomorrow I will finish pulling up my first experiment with growing peas got maybe a cupful but a lot of seeds where I didn't catch them fast enough. Lesson learned Plant in a better place but will replant in that area with cucumbers. Videos like yours keep me focused on my garden and keep plugging along and studying what I can plant and keep going towards fall season now. I don't get upset I just keep trying. I also signed up for a website where I get to try free food products which adds to my pantry for free. I got individual breakfast bars today $6 for 4 bars, tried one and put the rest in my pantry (foil wrapped). Got a container of free dried basil will try and put the rest up in my pantry. Doing everything I can to stock up. I'm also planting more Dill and herbs. It all adds up. Anna In Ohio
I saw a Locust a month ago. Fl. Body was 3" long! Freaks me out…
I saw a warning from a lady on you tube about food shortages from farmers who commented on her you tube channel. She said to go check out the ice age farmer. Basically the weather, war in Ukraine, and covington, plus the farmers are dealing with it costs more to plant the food. The farmers have been cut off at the knees. They said This! Our food in the stores now are from last year's cropped, meaning because this year has been globally hammered with high gas , high fertilizer and other stuff. We will see higher prices on food and famine. Nancy from nebraska
Yes Ma'am you are on point. Trust that Spydey sense every time
Could it have been a locust?
Very interesting. I, just last week, started seeing those same grasshoppers in my garden. When they fly they look like a brown butterfly. They are big! This is my first year having a garden in my area and I just thought they were normal. I don’t think I live too far from you. Have you seen anymore? I’ll try to take a pic next time I see one.
When you were talking I automatically started thinking about the plagues that punished Egypt. At that time the first 3 affected the Hebrews but the last 7 didn’t. Not sure if that has any significance or not.
Funny I had a grasshopper today. Monster sized grasshopper buzzed me while I was pulling some of my carrots. Then I was digging my potatoes, worst crop I've ever had, EVER. I have others to dig but the first 2 areas were store bought seed potatoes from big box store. I thought WTH?! They were deformed, not pretty and small. I pulled a random potato that was a volunteer from last year in another bed and it had beautiful full potatoes. It was from my seed potatoes last yr. I said to myself, well I know which ones will be going back as seed potatoes! The volunteer potatoes! I've noticed my seed plants are gorgeous the store bought filler plants are struggling and not producing much. I lost my greenhouse to a hail storm and lost quite a few of my starters, I supplemented with big box plants. There is an obvious difference! SAVE YOUR SEEDS, something is off with the plants this yr that are big box plants. Grasshopper moment!
Grasshoppers are associated with destruction. I would take it as a warning to prep harder.
Grasshopper (locust)….a sign of famine.
Thank you Patara, you are a true blessing. Thank you for your lessons, there are people who are listening.
When that big ant got on you it reminded me to keep carrying food and stocking up. I envisioned a line of ants carrying food. Signs. Betty from Ca
Warning from a bird. Patara, your grasshopper gave me chills. 6 times now in a week, birds have flown directly toward and smacked into 3 different windows in my house. 1 landed and let me snap a photo before flying off and I had the strongest feeling to keep working on plans and prepare for change. So odd to hear your story while it was weighing heavy on my mind. Change is coming. Difficult times are coming.
But why are we still here? When will we be taken like we were promised.
Oh cunyo! That was a Locus.
Possibly a locust ? I Was in Florida a month ago and what I thought was a Grasshopper but it was a locust.
This is a great reminder, thank you.
Hori hori gardening knife, I love mine!
