  1. So sorry for your loss. You are right everything wants your stuff. It's hard to lose any animal on the farm. Or any food from your garden. Lost all my chickens in one night to coons.

  2. Hello::::Your Stuff ==== Your FOOD !!! Ask a Question for everything ? Will things get bad !!! How Bad will it Get !!! How far will the Bad go to get what they want ??? Simple if it gets bad they shall come…How far will you go to stop them ???

  3. Possum taste good! Patara you are so funny. I love it. Don’t have a problem with them until they start messing with your flock. Here at my house the neighbors saw a huge black bear coming out of our woods towards their house.I have four kids. I don’t have a problem with black bears. Until they start messing with my family. 🙂 I’ve heard blackbear taste great. 🙂

  4. I love the Mama Bear that you are for your family, your animals, and even your followers. I don't have space for a homestead, but I grow things in pots and I shop the deals for stocking my pantry. I can cook from scratch and make freezer jams and refrigerator pickles to help things last a little longer and go a little further. You inspire me so much and I learn from you every day.

  5. Birds are targeting my tomatoes. Does anyone have tips to protect them? I have a small garden I water and tend to daily and now my relatives are criticizing me saying farmers just plant their fields and forget about them and pick the harvest when it's done. Is this true farmers?

  6. This video is so very spot on. Something or someone wants what you have. Always.
Patara or your subscribers would please give me ideas how people who are elderly, disabled, or alone and does not keep guns in the house protect themselves and their property, mostly talking about stored food.
Everyone is talking about prepping and stocking up on food and other supplies but I think there are probably a lot of people who for one reason or another do not have firearms for protection. Aside from self defense classes ( people my be too old, too ill or not physically capable for any reason ) but did stock up supplies how are they supposed to protect those supplies now from 2 legged predators.
Can people please give me some suggestions for protecting myself and family if it does get that bad.
Patara I am so sorry to hear about your turkey. A loss of a turkey is no different than the loss of a pet dog, cat or bird. They become part of the family and you do connect with them. So when that thread is broken it hurts. If I had a turkey it would be just as loved as any other animal. So I understand the pain you are experiencing right now. Sending hugs and prayers that you come to terms with your loss.

  7. I have lost a few chickens in the last week. I worked to get their security upgraded, and we have caught a racoon and a skunk since.
Its hard to protect those birds from predators.

  8. Had a cat converter stolen from my Ford F-250SD plow trk in MY YARD while i slept.. It's not a living thing but felt rage that someone would do that to me..A big loss money wise as it's not insured..They cut it off clean w/ a saws-all..Replace the cat w/ a pipe but still a loss..DANG Every thing wants whats yours,so true

  9. Bet you are right about a possum. Still hurts to lose even one. My prayers are with you and your family. I keep my poultry under lock and key behind a big gate. The heat right now is the killer.

  10. So sorry about your turkey hen, I absolutely cannot stand possums as they carry EPM and I have a horse. I have also eaten possum, feed it out with milk and bread and a little corn to clean it out, then roast it. Good eating there. Everything has it's purpose. Bless you and yours.

  11. Maybe you could get some inexpensive cameras . This is so you can have it come to your phone when an alarm goes off.. This way you can look at the video and see what happened. Just a thought. Check Ebay.
