  1. I have been watching your previous videos Patara. They are great and contain no nonsense. I truly loved the one "Why we Are Moving?" The beginning scene at the cemetery really touched my heart as I too am going back to my roots. My great grandmother on my mother's side was full blooded Cherokee from a North Carolina clan. Apparently, her family were among those that fled to the mountains when the soldiers came to move them to Oklahoma in 1832. They were never found by the soldiers even after 20 years of searching. Another video that touched my heart was "You are a Dirty Indian." That was sad. Being a teacher, several years ago, I wrote an article about how NOT to teach about Native Americans in the classroom. For example, do not sing "One, Little Two, Little Three Little Indians" and so son. It was published in an education journal. I plan to send you a copy and believe me, it gets to the heart of the matter. Please look for it in your SNAIL mail in the next few weeks. Thank you for this wonderful video and all those that you have done to help us with gardening, cooking, and canning. God Bless you and your family.

  2. Wow how interesting! I never heard of adding seven up! I will have to try that next time I make it. I usually go bare minimum, ie. Self rising flour and water sometimes powdered milk.
    Thanks for showing your version!
    Ske!

  3. I love fry bread so much, I have actually made dinner out of just eating too much fry bread. My grandmother (originally from Ireland, turtle clan) used to make it with Crisco vegetable shortening. I never tasted any close to hers since she died. I miss her so much.I tried making it her way but it never tasted like hers.Same with our mothers salad. We all tried her exact recipe but never tastes like hers.it's their secret energy they add. I can't wait to try your recipe to have with 3 sisters stew.

  4. I really liked the way you filmed this cooking video! No voice, just Native American music. I actually got teary eyed while watching you Patara. Bless you for your inspiring teaching methods! God is working with you to get America prepared. I will never forget you.

  5. We grew up on this! Granny learned to make this from the Arapahoe Natives. Anytime I make it we do the tacos or serve it as a side with chili. It's amazing with butter and honey. Kids' friends who have never had it now request it whenever they come over! 😀

  6. Will you be sharing your French onion soup canning recipe? I just bought most of the ingredients to make some to can also but don’t have a tried and true recipe!
