VIDEO: Easy Hydroponic Lettuce Using the Kratky Method and Soda Bottles

You can grow your own lettuce indoors with any food safe container you happen to have! In this video I’m growing the Black Seeded Simpson Lettuce variety in soda bottles using coconut coir as a medium.

  1. Great loads of lettuce!!! I like to sprout the seeds inside a small clear plastic container, sprinkle with water, close the lid and put on top of the fridge. Just sprinkle again if they get dry, until they sprout. Check after every couple of days. Outside is too hot for lettuce…

  2. Good to know Pepsi bottles work as well, lol. I'm growing chia, lettuce, mustard, basil and cilantro in random containers trying a mix of soil and water. I've really enjoyed watching your videos. Thanks.
