Self Sufficient Me is based on our small 3-acre property/homestead in SE Queensland, Australia, about 45kms north of Brisbane – the climate is subtropical (similar to Florida). I started Self Sufficient Me in 2011 as a blog website project where I document and write about backyard food growing, self-sufficiency, and urban farming in general. I love sharing my foodie and DIY adventures online, so come along with me and let’s get into it! Cheers, Mark 🙂

G'day Everyone, I know some things are tough at the moment, but at the same time, there are people like Cheryl hustling out there nevertheless to make new products and have a go at small businesses. I reckon that is commendable! The Rolling Sifter Website https://rollingsifter.ecwid.com/ Use code: compostyng to get the lid and small sifting screen addon for free! Cheers 🙂
Went to purchase the sifter but firstly the code did not work and the price is in U.S. dollars, something not evident until payment is made. It is a big "thumbs down for me"
What a great invention!
Don't forget to visit Mark's forum "Self Sufficient Culture"!
Would these ship to Australia? Would love one
Hmmm, looks like a decent bud trimmer.
Mark this is very cool to see you using your "influence" on YouTube to help your buddy sell some of these awesome and very clever devices… I've always felt you were a solid dude and this just confirms it again… keep it up brother!
Could have used this two weeks ago,,,,,,,,
Crackers!
I've never seen one that small.
This is actually cool!
I have a market garden and low capital. I might have to build double size one If I ever find the time.
Great story!!!! Thumbs up to you Cheryl, and Mark of course. Looks to be really handy around the garden.
I use a small, circular handheld sifter. This would be extremely useful.
Can't you load it up sideways then place it on or does it get too heavy?
Hey Mark, I noticed you have a few beds that are not the coated aluminum but galvanized tin. Have you ever worried about Cadmium leaching as the metal breaks down?
I always appreciate your calm and sincere demeanor.
G'day, you're Mark from self sufficient you.
Thumbs up, Cheryl!
It looks like a lottery ticket barrel.
This guy is an absolute master making a fool of himself by making this promotion video and uploading it on YT for this piece of junk!
He’ll do anything for a few lousy bucks !
I'm disappointed.. don't know if this is a scam or not but the website is not working correctly.
I use a homemade sifter to remove the dirt when you get down to those last rake/shovelfuls of leaves, pine cones, bark, etc that you want to put into the compost pile without a bunch of dirt going in, too.
hey mark unsure if this has been mentioned or not but your microphone audio is slightly uneven for headphone users not a huge deal just thought ide mention it. been a big fan for a long time keep up the good content 🙂
What’s wrong with a wire screen? Something for golfers who rent buggies
My left ear really enjoyed this video
