  1. 0.5 hectares here, in western Patagonia, water everywhere, lush temperate forests like washington or oregon, flat terrain, volcanic soil, tends to flood on winter season, there are streams everywhere, but the shocking thin, when I bought it in 2019 it was at 3600 USD, I had to get, havent moved yet, pandemic and social upheaval down here. but it is primal forest, now with the roads, electricity being built and soon a large bridge connecting the island to the continent, im thinking maybe its time to pack and go

  2. Excellent video packed with no-nonsense information. Two other things to consider: how much top soil is there in case of rocky underground; and what are the rules for having immovable and movable assets, ie. can you rebuild an existing ruine or have a caravan, trailer, chalet etc. on site. With the amount of land you have, you could consider planting hemp and making your own toilet paper. Veel succes.

  3. Such a valuable video. About two months ago I started watching many channels of people homesteading in Northern Portugal and Spain. Many are headed for some heartbreak. Wells going dry, lack of income, thousands spent on re-drilling bore holes, inability to develop portions of their land because of regulations. The list goes on and on. I feel like I should share your video on FB so that it reaches more people.

  4. Just remember that people have been trying there for thousands of years.. They have a tradition of trying to get out of there because the land is so poor… With current climate tendencies I can only imagine it getting worse… There is a reason why land and properties are so cheap in Portugal and Spain…
