Those type of snakes are common where I'm from, old farmers are scared of them even though they aren't dangerous

I love how my family and I have gotten up close and personal and "discovered" so many little critters in our own yard just by getting personal with the ecosystem by gardening! My favorite is the lizards that co-habitate in my grow bags and the spicebush swallowtail caterpillar that chose our pole beans to build its chrysalis on.
Great guys to eat slugs and grubs…luv those guys…downside is they'll eat worms
