It's easy to be rude to someone you have never met and it's easy to be rude when you can hide behind an email or comment on any site. If this subject plucked you then perhaps the problem is yours. It's NOT going to happen. They are buying votes on empty promises. They'll not pass that legislation, even AFTER the mid term elections. Even if they do, it'll be undone. Or it'll pass and you'll have 30 seconds to apply or your denied. But they passed it, the greatest legislation ever. And the price of gas will sky rocket after the election. Have you looked at schools, it's $50K a semester for non-Ivy league. As I deal with FMLA legislation, and have 5 business days to a) get paperwork, b) get paper work to a 3rd party to be filled out, c) the 3rd party fills it out, d) get paperwork from 3rd party, e) get it back to the "insurance" in LESS THAN 5 business days. Meanwhile it takes me 5 days just to get the insurance to verify that they GOT the paperwork. Almost week 7 and the 3rd party (doctor) is filling out the same paperwork for the 4th time, under threat of MY claim denial.

On New Year’s Day 1932, my great grandpa put pencil to paper & wrote 3 pages about his life. Wow. As a young man, he married & his wife had twins & then a son. Over time, she died, his mother (with whom they were living) also passed away. Then he was alone with 3 little ones. The twins became ill and they both died. My great grandpa was then alone with his little boy. Fortunately for me, he married again and had several children with his second wife, including my grandfather. Woven through his life story was his commitment to his local church & his commitment to the land. Hard times did not break his spirit.

Why on earth would anyone go to college to make $9 an hour?? People make far more than that without the college degree or any specialized training! I'm not against college. I was in college for several years. Three of our kids already have college degrees and one is currently enrolled in college. But, like Patara said, 'they failed to teach you simple math'.
