'Wa-he-o'pronunciation for the peppers. They are like a spicy raisin.
Wa- hee- low peppers.. sweet, smokey less bitter.
You probably already know this but just in case you dont.. you can freeze chilli peppers etc whole straight from the plants and then just use them as required. They still have the same heat as when they are fresh after you thaw them out. I put my in a zip lock bag and then just get out as many as I need for a curry or stir fry etc..
The way to pronounce guajillo peppers sounds like wah-he-yo. I love the flavor of those and use them in my enchilada sauce too!
Another amazing time with you ❤️
Hi Becky I really enjoy your videos and hope you are doing well. What is the largest stainless steel bowl you use and where can I purchase that same size bowl?
I would love to see a sun dried tomatoe recipe.
Great job on harvesting! The way I say it is “en.chuh.laa.duh”
I can't say I've ever had enchiladas, had to Google to see what they even were. lol
I think I know what I'll be trying within the next week! They look so yummy!
I love trying new things! Thanks Becky. 🙂
Ohh this looks soooo good! Definitely a project I want to try next year! This year is my first garden and I am going to try canning some pizza sauce as we do a lot of homemade pizza 🙂
I’m worried about your quartz counters. They aren’t heat or stain resistant like granite.
I recently started pressure canning but I’ve been so disappointed with taste of a couple of things. One was plain chicken, beef and sweetcorn. Don’t know what I have done wrong or were my expectations too high I wonder? Xxxxx
Becky, have you thought about freeze drying some of those tomatoes, and making your own tomato powder?
Interesting, I've never had a tomato base enchilada sauce. I'll have to give it a try.
Dehydrate that enchilada pulp for sauce
Becky, I thought tomato products without any meat could be pressure canned for 25 minutes?
Becks, you got more done in a day than many people do in… ever. Two questions if they're not intrusive: have you decided which room will be baby's and which will be The Drum Studio?
Becky you should have saved the seeds from your pepper and fry them out for chilli peppers for cooking with, one more home grown spice in your cupboard
It's ironic to think how much we have normalised processed supermarket food to the point where such a natural thing like growing and cooking our food from scratch, is now considered a hobby.
Thank you Becky for this video. Now I'm excited to make a much smaller batch of your enchilada sauce.
Hi Becky, I want to make my own garlicpowder like you do. Do you have a video where I can see how to do that?
I'm curious how many jars you got out of the two recipes.
maybe?
By a high quality stick blender!!!
They might be very expensive, but as you do large batches, you need the power and durability.
Look for something that is for professional kitchens.
