I had stocked up in early 2020, and due to the prices of groceries, reduced hours at work, etc, I haven't been able to do a proper grocery shopping trip lately. I look at my pantry and am deceiving myself if I think it's enough. Thank you for kicking me in the butt….it's time to get serious.
None of my kids believe anything will happen. My youngest said "Oh, Grammy's a doomsday prepper". I just said "if I'm right you have food. If I'm wrong, you have food". She just said "yeah" and changed the subject. So worried about my grandbabies.

Wow! You are from a young family! Im 57 and my grandparents were all born in the 1890s…never met a great grand parent…they were all born before the war of Northern aggression.
Only thing I disagree with you on is your dismissal of dads compared to moms. We do it differently and express it differently and focus on different aspects of parenting but we dads do it with every bit of love, emotion, work, and soul as moms… ask James. He just does it more quietly and with more reserve. Like he seems to do everything…lol

My mother and Father lived through the depression and said always be prepared. Stock up and save the nail, boards, and hardware..it might not be there at the store. Same for food, grow, and save for the future
