My memaw was a simple lady and she used a long two by four to hold her clothes line up in the middle. Nothing fancy.
Lotion then vasaline and avoid soap and water when possible. That’s what farming with eczema taught me.

If you DO decide to try angora goats, i have a friend not too far from where you live…. and even if you only want more fiber information she shears her angora goats, processes fiber, sells some, spins, weaves, and slso felts. I have showed her your channel.
The smell of a horse will cure what ails you. I love to lean on a horse and just breathe it in.
I wouldn't get more alpacas since you already got rid of some of the ones you had. It wouldn't make sense. It would make since to get something else.

My momma always used her clothes pole to prop up the clothes line. We “borrowed” it to make tents in our playroom, propping one end on a toy shelf and the other on a tall stool. Covered with old drapes it became a covered wagon when we played pioneers, or anything else our imaginations desired!
In the old days…people had ' clothes line poles' to keep the laundry off the ground. 7 ft tall, 1 in aluminum poles with a round spiral you. The clothes Lindsay have hung at the 5'5" level yo enable people to hang clothes. You then inserted the spiral tops in the rope/wire then straightened the pole vertically…voila laundry off ground.

Jess that stick is called a Clothes Prop I am 71 yrs old & yes I grew up with one actually, a few, as there was 10 children remember. We used to use the clothes props as our pretend horses & we would run around the huge yard we had playing Cowboys & Indians. Wow what a fabulous time & memory. Thanks Jess Cheers Denise- Australia
on the youtube channel talasbuan the keep sheep and they keep them for meat, wool, and hide, they live in sweden, and they use the wool for all kinds of things, like insulating the roots around trees and plants for freezing temps! they tan the hide to make a furry leather piece? is that what you call it? they use theirs for a padding for their baby carriage. the hides are beautiful when they turn out! very rustic. all kinds of creative uses for sheep skin and wool other than yarn if yarn making isn't in the nearest future.
OH YEAH Jess- the smell of a horse – I have ridden all my life & boy do I miss it- the smell of the saddle , the smell when you brush them- the smell when they snaffle up with you- OH YEAH !!!!!!!
When I've been riding and come in I don't want to wash my hands because I can cup them beneath my nose and breathe in the smell of a horse. It's magic. Sadly you have to wash your hands eventually during the day.
Yes !! The fabulous scent of a horse is one only longed for and appreciated by true horse lovers. I just want to shake my head under there mane … just for the pure joy of it❤

Oh Jess, I’m so thankful that you touched on one of my biggest pet peeves with something I’ve noticed East of the Rockies. Being a former Cali girl, we always had our animals spayed or neutered. It was just what you do, well, did.. Then my daughter who was a RCVT worked at a high kill shelter & she would tell me she felt her life sucking from soul. I watched her change so I get it that the people in shelters are totally burnt out.
Things have gotten so expensive, look for a Critters Without Litters friends. Take your pets to them & try to help support them, if only by volunteering to help on surgery days. Too many animals are being euthanized across the country because people just don’t think about slowing the population.
