  1. I bought Galvanized Steel from a guy. This is my half-hearted bullshit towards saving face since I recommended this bullshit.

It’s a weird place to be when a Canadian wants to Curb-Stomp an Australian.

  2. Just ordered a dozen of these based on your recommendation, and using your discount code. Thanks mate, we are very excited to start growing our own veges again. I appreciate the tip on the fix, I will do that before we add any soil.

  3. I'm wondering… if you place 2 plywood sheets, on each side of the braces, and fill the braces with concrete then the braces can keeps the sides in tension and the concrete helps with compression. This way, you will never have to fix them in the future.

Side note, I still think concrete and blocks is best

  4. Those things cost a fortune! They ought to do everything but make you a cup of tea, without collapsing – in either direction.. My £30 raised beds are just as flimsy – but not as tall, so they don't bow out or fall in..

  5. 30years ago you never saw a child with autism now we have classes at school for them I think it's because of the chemicals in food one meat co was using imbombing fluid to keep their meat pink you have to read labels

  8. Thank you for posting this! We just set up outlook beds a few months ago, and noticed a slight bluging in the beds, we were able to remedy it quickly before out planting season started! Thank you again

  9. Love the channel… but in all seriousness… you ARE saying "mulch" incorrectly. Even with an Aussie accent, the last two letters are "ch", not "sh". It's NOT "mulsh". It's "MULCH". CHOO CHOO like a train. Not SHOO SHOO like you say to bugs or pests.

  10. The wood will rot, a permanent fix would be to tac-weld a post with a devils fork at the end in the middle so it could never happen again. another would be in addition to the first part add locking nuts in the inside so it cant more, but before you do, cut a 5-6 inch additional piece of the corrugated stuff to put on the inside so it cant push or rip a hole through the area where the bar went through to double wall the area. I think all that together would equal a 100% fix.

  11. Why don't you just make one out of stone or brick. At this point it seems like maintaining it and pulling it apart is alot of work. After like 5-7 years you'll just have to dig it out. But you can then use tools or light machinery because it will be sturdy enough. Plus you won't need to maintain it like you do now.

  12. I just bought 6 (4'X8') beds, and planned on using a potting mix in the base of the beds as I can get it for $10 a yard. Would this material in the bottom of the beds cause the caving in effect? I don't have the log, or wood material to use for the base you are using. Hopefully I can plan to fill them in the beginning BEFORE this happens. Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated. I live in SW Florida zone 10a.

  13. It's certainly a design issue, or more precisely a cost issue. We're building our own from recycled materials. For bracing we use angle iron, much stronger. The angle iron is from old style pallet racking system, so quite cheap.
