I love how you showcase strong women, what a blessing these women are to us as role models and motivation.
It certainly took strong women to not only survive but to tame the world they lived in. Very good video
Glad you had a good time! We only live about 25 minutes from Little Greenbrier and we absolutely love it here. We always go to the cabin from Metcalf bottoms so we can remind our boys of what it was like for the people to walk to school. If you are ever in the area again and have the time we will be glad to treat your family to dinner.
Your video intrigued me so I ordered the book! Thanks! Ann Marie
Loved this video………………..thanks
I love Wears Valley. We always travel TN and also Cades Cove. I am from SC but nothing is like those beautiful mountains. I feel like I can touch God's face there in the mountains. Wears Valley is gorgeous.
So awesome. Thanks for sharing and God bless.
Amazing loved the adventure,thanks.
Thank you, Patara for sharing your adventure with us and expanding our horizons. History is really a teacher.
Thank you for the tour. I love learning about your area!
Simple, rustic elegance. ..this was really just glorified camping out. What a beautiful life, but I think it would have been quite cold in the Wintertime. Thanks so much for the tour!
Thank you . I wish I were there.
Makes me miss home! I'm from east TN but living in Texas because my husband is military. This is a great video!!
One of my favorite places in the world. Love that hike!
Thank you for sharing the history of the Walker sisters, such an amazing story. I'm definitely going to get the book.
Love this area, my go to place to getaway…
Thx for the video and info on the Walker sisters. My library didn't carry the book, so I ordered from Amazon. Interesting book. Funny how the 1 sister who married, moved away, and enjoyed some modern conveniences lived to be 102 and died in 1988. The oldest surviving sister who stayed on the homestead working hard with no modern conveniences died in 1964 at the age of 82. Very interesting.
The newspaper on the walls, my grandma put flour paste, putting newspaper for insulation on her share cropping house in Georgia .
Thank you for sharing your tour with us. Is this still around and available to see today??
Heading east TN this week!Last in trip and I am hoping to come to this park!
