  1. A few months, I received my grandmother's crochet pattern booklets with her check marks. I am crocheting the same things and selling them just as she did. It has brought me closer to her even though she has passed a long time ago. I hope that I can pass this tradition onto my granddaughters.

  2. SO I am ready to get like 2 house chickens – the big choice is to make a coop or buy one of those premade ones – my husband thinks I crazy – oh well he'll like the eggs lol

  3. What I would give to have my grandfather's horticulture bean seed, iris, and gladiolas! I never had the desire to have those when I was younger (mid 20s when he passed). I also lost my mom's heirloom goose bean seed when I didn't plant them for several years. Last year I tried, but they didn't come up. Now that I'm in my senior years, I am saving my seed for my grand daughters, and hopefully instilling the importance of this in them.

  4. Your story reminded me that my Mom always had a window sill full of African violets (not to mention gorgeous rose bushes outside)! I lost my Mom in 2004….Thanks for that memory ❤️❤️❤️

  5. I have a broody hen that have 12 egg but the problem with her is that she is not sitting on the eggs, she only goes in the box to lay more eggs. I candle the 12 eggs and they already started to develop. I'm concern that by she not full sitting on them that the chicks wont develop right or could die. what should I do?

  6. I have two little coops, similar to the one you have, and I use them as my chicken hospital. One of my leghorn hens got bullied to the point of blood a few months back. Fixed her up and she spent about a week in my chicken hospital. Put her back in the coop at night and the next morning, she was just fine and hasn’t been picked on since. Love your channel!❤️

  7. Love your little coop. My mom had a house chicken as a kid. Miss peggy was a peg leg chicken they had a high chair for the chicken. The garden and aftican violets my granny was the same.

  8. I have blackberries in my backyard so my aunt thought I was crazy when I asked for cuttings from hers. Hers are descended from the family farm owned by my ancestor who fought in the American revolution. The have been passed down and cuttings taken from place to place. I wanted some of those. Last year my when I was out of town they got bush hogged. This year I went and got new cuttings. I am so glad I was still able to do so. I am the only one in my generation to have them. I do know what farm they are still on though. Not in family and 600 miles away. I guess I’d really have to do some sweet talking

  9. AMEN!!! It was just that plant's time! Now you've started the REAL tradition of growing an 'African Violet' in her honor and/or really JUST NOT GIVING UP with regards to ANYTHING! God bless you!
