I got round to transplanting them at last! Also any advice with what I can do to help the brown leaves, thanks! http://www.facebook.com/HuwsGardenNursery
Also please subscribe to my sisters channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/SimpleCnA, a video is uploading now!
Sorry this is a really stupid question… Do they need to be pollinated to get fruits? Nice video! 😉
Nice video and a great tip on filling the pot with a cup to create a cavity.
Hello, Huw! I've re-potted many avocados, and they are quite sensitive to root-disturbance. After re-potting, I find it's best to keep the plants in full shade, and keep them evenly moist while the roots adjust…otherwise, they tend to drop their leaves. The brown tips on the older leaves can be due to a number of things: wind, sun, dry air, dry roots, wet roots, too much salt in the soil. Using a well-draining mix that can be flushed regularly keeps even the older leaves looking pristine.
Very nice video, Huw! I've never seen the cup in the dirt method, but I'm getting ready to transplant a rootbound onion, so I will use your method!
Avocados root close to the surface so place a layer of mulch to keep the soil evenly moist or leaves can turn brown however the plant disease avocado root rot can also make leaves brown. The other cause is very bright sun..hope that helps
Brown leave could be caused by lack of nutrition and/or water or to warm keep a way from hot things such as fire, stove, radiator, direct sun or could be to cold
I forget how are the lemon plant's doing and nice way to make hole right size using cup
Are you planning on doing some grafting with them?
