So the ones with canes aren't ever bearing and will have fruit once
Thanks for the info. I noticed you don't support your plants, unless I missed it. Also I starting a small spot for raspberries and was thinking of getting some plants from a few locations that had old homesteads on them. Wondering if there is anything wrong with my thinking? Any thoughts, let me know. Take care and be safe.
Hi, we have our wild raspberry called sampinit/sapinit. Is it possible to prune half of the first year canes and leave half as is to see if its everbearing or summer bearing?
Will the black raspberries benefit from stakes or trellis? Thanks! Great video!
Im very love with raspberries..i have own plant at my garden now..love from Malaysia..
Great video. Thanks James
I have way too many raspberry plants! How do I thin them?
Love the videos bro
Love all this info. Its alot to take in for beginner like me. But im trying! I want to add raspberries in my yard.
Very good info man. My problem, is that most of my patch came from gifted starters that I don't know their heritage.
This video is fantastic. My wife and I are growing a variety of raspberries and blackberries. Thank you for providing such clear information! I couldn’t click subscribe fast enough!
Did you tip root any?
You assume we all what first and second year canes are
I have a lot of summer-bearing red raspberries. Can I also cut the primocanes on these back to around 4 feet to encourage lateral growth?
Thanks for the simple explanation of trimming black raspberries.
I wish you would have said something about how many new canes to leave from each clump. I read somewhere to leave 3 to 4 of the healthiest canes per plant. Maybe yours is so dense that you can't distinguish individual clumps but then what about spacing?
I’ve been trying to grow raspberries for 4 years. They never flower. I fertilize and water well. Any tips?
Thanks for this information. I have ever bearing plants and have been pruning the new canes in the summer and couldn't figure out why I wasn't getting a fall harvest.
Hello there,
Have you ever dealt with orange rust on your blackberries? If so, what did you do about it?? I have some on one of my blackberries. 🙁
Great video, very informative. Inspired me to try growing raspberries next year!
love berries… not the thornes so much 🙂
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Nice video!
These reseed? Or do you reseed?
Also does anyone know what variety Walmart great value frozen raspberry are?
What if I have lengthy canes (no fruit) on first year, do I prune now or wait for spring? Can I cut them back a little or no pruning at all? Thanks James.
Is it better to trim in the spring or fall
Do you keep track of which canes to cut to the ground by simply chopping them after harvesting the last batch off of that cane?
