  1. Great clip Curtis, always nice to see a farmer tell all of his growing methods and it is nice to see what you do when you have a crop problem…..good luck and can't wait to see the next clip. This is my new slogan " We may not be the only nursery and farm you buy from, but we hope to be the best you buy from."

  2. I was wondering if you have ever tried any black plastic on your direct seeded crops like carrots and beets that take longer to increase germ time and maybe get a better stand? It accelerates weeds when I do the blankets and didn't know if you did it just long enough to get them to sprout and then take off before they emerge? Kind of like I do in my germination room just a couple days at 85 deg or so then pull the flats out before they sprout and have a lot better stand on some crops. Always wanted to try

  3. Curtis, don't know if this will help, but we have been seeding carrots, watering them in and using very thin poly plastic and laying it directly on top to lock in the mositure, raise the humidity and removing the cover after 7 or so days. Germ rate has been top drawer so far…..instead of shade cloth. We live in Irelnad so don't get the temps here you guys would be use to. Love the videos brother. You've been an inspiration.

  4. On top of awesome content, click bait once in a while is recommended. Thanks for the inspiration Curtis ! My experiences of taking on Cedar tree roots, Salmon Berry bushes, constant rain, long winters, deer, feral cats, green caterpillars on kale etc., all disappear when I see Curtis harvesting from his "unfenced" front yard in a nice warm semi dessert.

  5. I have very clay soil so Carrots can be a real bitch. I seed directly on top of the soil and cover the seed with a small amount of playground sand and then cover with berlap. 80-90% Germination:)

  6. Hi Curtis. What do you do with all the edible things that people don't normally eat? Do you compost them?
Examples would be the tops of carrots, beats, radishes, etc.

  7. You have fantastic yards . You make me excited to bled green house .would you please tell me where I can buy
greenhouse 16' Wide 22' long Cold Frame. Because I have that size place . witch before was a green house . Thanks

  8. hey here another german fan of yours;!loved your book.great to listen to some stuff in my mothertongue on your channel!Hab mich gefreut und ein Grinsen konnt ich mir auch nicht verkneifen. ;P Keep up the good work mate! You´r always welcome in Germany!

  9. space is probably limited in the greenhouse, but have you considered putting a compost pile in the greenhouse to give off heat to help supplement the heating?

  10. It is your duty to click bait even harder because getting your message out is too important to neglect. "CRAZY GERMAN STOLE MY CAMERA!" would have been an even better title. Love it!
