Make sure you trench a FULL circle (as shown) around each slip-not a "semi" circle. I'm such a goober. xo
I appreciate the show and tell. Thx.
How exciting ! Hope you get a giant harvest!!!! Hugs !
My mouth is watering just thinking about one of those on my plate with butter and cinnamon .
Parata this is the first time I have seen James helping you out front from the camera. Working together makes work lighter
I like to mark on my hoe handle with a Sharpie a mark for 18" or 12" or whatever I'll be using. The plants probably don't care, but I'm a little OCD and it looks sharp.
Don't forget the magical part – when you make a circle around the plant, you send it blessings and good wishes.
hello
You killing me Patera you make me want to go outside and dig up my backyard great video can't wait to see your Harvest
We didn't have a 18 inch length to measure with. Dad used a stud separator. We had 16 inch separation. We grew three bushel baskets.
I think we did good.
Thank you for all the information. I personally like to listen to wisdom of others even though I’m 70 and still learning!
Nothing so wonderful as working in the garden with your husband. That is how my Daddy taught me. he learned this from his Mom (supposed to be the side the Cherokee is from). Need to do the DNA to find out, would make me so proud if we are.
Love Sweet Potatoes!! Good luck with your crop.
Planted sweet potatoes in a polytunnel but I do live in middle England! Out of interest do you no longer use the back to Eden method?
Love your channel, just down to earth!
I have 8 types of sweet potatoes im growing this year in containers. Once I have my land I will be sure to pull the dirt..mound…full circle…and hay!!
I've got sweet potatoes growing in my compost pile from old sweets I threw out last fall. I'm not going to get sweet potatoes from them, am I? Should I pull the slips and plant them? Thanks. ~ Lisa
Thanks for sharing
Beauregard is my favorite too. They stand up out of the ground when they are ready. Some were the size of my German Shepherd's head. Nice thin skins and no fiber strands. I rub olive oil on them and cook in my air fry oven. You won't need butter, cinnamon nor sugar.
I put a moat around most of my veggies also. You garden soil looks good. We have the same kind here in Western NC. It's fun to find marbles, broken PINK depression glass and I've even found grape shot from the civil war.
Looks like TN got some rain today the ground was all wet when i dropped my load
Love garden videos keep them coming.
Do you make more slips from the slips you planted to grow more?
Hello Patara, do you milk your goats and if so how do you use the milk?
Can you not grow sweet potatoes using the Ruth stout or BTE or will they now work that way?
Do you still do the BTE gardening?
I’m so glad to find your channel. I planted sweet potatoes in giant fabric grow pots. I’ve never grown them before. I hope to green some good advice from you. I sure got some great tomato growing advice. I was doing everything wrong with them.
