  1. I work in produce and I keep ginger in stock. 1 customer came in and said she was sick for awhile the doctors couldn't help her then she tried a ginger tea within few days the problem cleared up. It really works

  2. we have used ginger tea for years and yes it works..we put a lot more fresh ginger in our tea but I am glad to know that less works . (just in case we don't have a lot) We store our ginger root in a crock on the counter and it stays good for a long time. it gets mushy in the fridge,I grew some in our vegetable garden this year from a finger of store bought ginger.

  3. I do the same as you, wash hands, wash face after I'm out in public, shopping etc. Ive been pretty lucky, only had a cold/flu once in the last 15 years. Ive attributed it to taking 3 supplements daily, once the fall weather comes, I take; zinc, vit C and Echinacea. I also think that lower stress helped a lot. I always have my tea with lemon and honey and I cook with turmeric, garlic and ginger.

  4. Have 2 sick sons and a husband at my house. Made this tea and was surprised that they all liked it and drank it all! One of them said it was "Pa-terrific" I know he is a bit on the silly side. Thanks Patera 🙂

  5. Thanks for the great recipe.
The 2 Chinese meds for fighting vires onset is yin Xiao. Gan mao ling is great too. I'd love to make elderberry syrup sometime when I'm home at the right time. A lot of people use sumac seeds in teas for vitamin c/immune support too. That ticlked me coz when I was little I was to sumac was poison

  6. to make the Turmeric more bioavailable …… add a couple shakes of or 1/8 tsp black pepper. Adding a 1/2 tsp of some sort of fat also helps this……but you've done this with the milk.

  7. I am Egyptian and we commonly only put lemon, garlic and honey. You will never get sick!

Another awesome tea for us is fenugreek. That one takes care of any stomach problems.

  8. Im a big advocate for natural remedies. I use ginger a lot….and cinnamon, turmeric….and garlic.
I put ginger cinnamon and turmeric in my coffee….good stuff.
I also make a garlic tea if im feeling really sick….lots of fresh garlic steeped….works wonders.
Thank you for sharing your tips.
